McGregor wants a rematch, saying he’s 100% confident he’d win

  • In a podcast interview, McGregor has said he wants a rematch with Mayweather

  • The former UFC champion is now 100% confident he can beat Mayweather, one of the greatest boxers ever

  • Using what he learned from the match he lost in the 10th round in 2017, McGregor wants to come back swinging

In a podcast interview with TMZ’s Tony Robins former UFC champ Conor McGregor said he wants another fight with Floyd Mayweather.

When the two entered the ring in 2017, it was dubbed ‘The Fight of the Century’ and ended somewhat abruptly after the 10th round when the ref declared Mayweather the victor. The win for the boxing legend secured his 50-0 record.

The Irishman said in the interview that “I would like to rematch him under boxing rules, again,” Mayweather said to Tony Robbins during a recent interview … “and I believe I would win.” “Actually, there I go again with that fake humbleness … I KNOW I WOULD WIN!”

Despite the match winner being called after 10 rounds given the beating McGregor was taking, the man seems surprisingly happy with his performance on that day. “When I went into the fight in the early rounds I was WHOOPING him in the early rounds,” Conor said … “I went back to my corner after the first round and I said, ‘This is easy!'”

McGregor believes using that he learned that day, as well as mixing up his styles as Mayweather did that day will guarantee him the win.

This isn’t the first rematch on the table for the two in fact. Apparently Mayweather and McGregor agreed to an MMA match after the boxing match but Mayweather never got back to him. Perhaps a chance for a 51 streak will pique Mayweather’s interest. If not, perhaps another $300 million pay-out will.

Earlier this year, McGregor said he would be honoured to fight against MMA veteran Anderson Silva, it seems McGregor really wants to prove himself this year, especially following his embarrassing arrest this year.
