The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst has a very illustrous alumni list filled with royals from all over the world including Princes William and Harry, Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai, and Hussein, the Crown Prince of Jordan.
So it doesn’t really come as a surprise that Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai graduated from the same military school as his father. The National wrote in 2013, that over the last five decades, more than 200 Emiratis have passed out from the Royal Military College, which was founded in 1801, the most from any Arab nation.
Sheikh Hamdan also known as Fazza, recently shared a ‘throwback’ picture on his social media feeds of him dressed in the Sandhurst military greens.

Graduates of the prestigious academy, include leaders from Arab and European countries, including members of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. At Sandhurst, cadets receive military training in practical and academic subjects for one year to qualify as commanders in their armies back in their home countries.

The BBC described the course as “a gruelling 44-week course testing the physical and intellectual skills of officer cadets and imbuing them with the values of the British Army.”
A little known fact about Dubai’s crown prince— he attended the London School of Economics after his time at Sandhurst Military Academy, and he travels frequently to London throughout the year.
Recently, Jordan’s Princess Salma bint Abdullah has graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. She’s the youngest daughter of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan.
