Dubai Opera has revealed the name of its new restaurant.
Restaurant Secrets Inc. (RSI) has confirmed it has acquired the lease and operating rights of five restaurants from Emaar Hospitality Group, including a brand new concept called The Loft at Dubai Opera.
The Loft opens it’s doors on January 20 and is offering guests complimentary bubbly and canapés on arrival for a week until January 26. It’s website is still under maintenance and according to its new Instagram page, the signature dish is a “melt-in-your-mouth” Truffle Wagyu Carpaccio.
Sean Connolly closed his first Dubai restaurant – the aptly named Sean Connolly at Dubai Opera earlier this month. The acclaimed chef’s first foray into the Middle East closed its doors on January 15.
“It’s with great sadness that I leave my ‘baby’ behind,” he revealed to Esquire Middle East. “But I do intend to keep coming back to Dubai.”
Alongside The Loft at Dubai Opera, the deal includes French-inspired restaurant, La Serre Bistro & Boulangerie, and two additional restaurants joining RSI’s portfolio in Q1 2019. The final addition will be the introduction of a new Gastropub concept to the UAE dining scene, slated for second quarter of 2019.
Ralph Homer, CEO and Co-Founder of Restaurant Secrets Inc. said, “We are pleased to mark the start of 2019 with such a significant expansion. This is a major step forward for RSI as we work towards increasing our regional footprint and growing our portfolio of strongly operated brands, managed within our in-house 360 solutions expertise.”
