Moreschi matches Italian heritage with classic elegance

The world of footwear is in flux right now, and everyone seems obsessed with the latest sneaker drops. But at Townhouse, we prefer our shoes with a little more…. class.

That’s why we’ve gone with a proper Italian shoemaker for this year’s event. Yes, Moreschi has more than seventy years of heritage under its belt and is today best known for the fact that all its products are 100 per cent made in Italy, and using its very own facilities.

Yes, Moreschi has decided to set up shop at the Townhouse, and brought a truly dizzying array of shoes with them, along with a very special surprise. The brand actually flew one of their craftsmen over, to give Townhouse guests a tutorial on how exactly its shoes get made. What is particularly impressive is the part of the shoemaking process where colour gets added, all by hand – over and over again until it reaches the perfect hue.

While Moreschi the brand started back in 1946, it really couldn’t be more up to date. In 2016, it went through a global refurbishment that saw it go back to its Italian routes, and in doing so, brought the Italian shoe stalwart bang up to date. Today, it is known for making some of the most stylish but hardwearing shoes in the world, and – due to the brand’s reliance on classic elegance – its products never go out of style.
