From one of the region’s best (and most stylish) restaurants

The Italians are known for a great many things; fantastic weather, ‘lively’ football supporters, a love of gesturing wildly; but fashion and food are surely the two most prominent characteristics attributed to “the beautiful country”.

There’s no better example of this than Il Borro Tuscan Bistro. Yes, it serves authentic and yummy Italian fare, but more importantly, it’s helmed by Ferrucio and Salvatore Ferragamo (they of the eponymous fashion empire).

Here in Dubai, it is surely one of the finest Italian restaurants in the country. It follows on from the success of its namesake in Tuscanny, and is located at the Jumeirah Al Naseem hotel.

There, it replicates the same rustic-charm-meets-high-end food as its predecessor, with ingredients flown in daily from its native Italy. The name Il Borro actually comes from the family’s Tuscan estate, where the surrounding land provides many of those ingredients, including organic fruit, vegetables and grapes.

Such commitment to getting the right ingredients that allows it to ensure it follows an ethical, sustainable and biodynamic philosophy. Focusing on the culinary history, and diversity of Tuscan cuisine, the food at Il Borro Tuscan Bistro is exceptional.
