We kicked off our VIP event with a bang (and a 60 million Dirham villa)

Welcome to the first day of 2018’s Esquire Townhouse, a three-day event that sees some of the biggest brands in the region collide with our VIP guests, and all inside a stunning 60 million Dirham villa on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah.

Every day our guests will enjoy a series of activations, talks and masterclasses, fitness sessions, sartorial tutorials and private dinners, not to mention real-life access to some of the leading voices in style, sport, tech, travel, food and film.

Here’s what happened on day one:

First, we kicked off the festivities with a very special event indeed. Bremont – the British watchmaker that’s redefining the world of watchmaking – is not only headlined this year’s Esquire Townhouse, but chose to use our house to officially launch its brand new Supersonic line of watches in the region.

The new watches – which are inspired by the iconic Concorde Supersonic Aircraft – are as subtle as they are beautiful, and just after the launch event guests will be allowed to get up close and personal with this stunning new timepiece.

Now, during our afternoon panel talks, we talked to two very interesting men. First up, We talked to film director Yasir Al-Yasiri about the rise of the Arab filmmaker. Al-Yasiri won a slew of awards as a music video director, before switching tact and moving into the world of film. Here, he talked about the challenges – and joys – of filmmaking in the region.

Afterwards, we moved into the fitness game and looked at the world of health and wellbeing. Technogym – the Italian wellness stalwart – lead a talk discussing how our guests go about designing their perfect life.

Of course, what is a day at the Townhouse without some stellar food. That’s why we were so happy to have the team at Ruya Dubai – also known as Esquire’s Best Restaurant of 2018 – in the kitchen, serving up the best that Anatolian cuisine has to offer.

Now, while Esquire Townhouse was an invite-only affair, you can watch everything along with us live on Facebook and Periscope, not to mention check back on Instagram and YouTube for every day’s highlights.

At the Esquire Townhouse, the Middle East’s leading men’s brand comes to life over three days of activations, talks, masterclasses, fitness sessions and private dinners, all held within in a jaw-dropping, AED60 million private mansion. Throughout the days invited guests can walk into the world of Esquire, with real-life access to the leading voices in style, sport, tech, travel, food and film.
