Rüya was named Esquire’s Best Restaurant in the Middle East for 2018

We couldn’t think of a better way to kick start The Esquire Townhouse, then with food and drink catered by the best restaurant in the Middle East (well, according to our food editors, that is).

From the moment we first walked into Rüya at Dubai’s Grosvenor House Hotel, we knew something was different. With so many established restaurants opening franchises in the city, this homegrown eatery was a breath of fresh air.

The goal of the much-vaunted chef Colin Clague to elevate modern Anatolian cuisine to a gourmet level has been a roaring success with reservation books continuously filled since it opened almost two years ago.

The Marina restaurant embodies what restaurants from the region should be striving to achieve: inventive and progressive cuisine, served in a social-yet-elegant setting.

With its two-cheese pide, it has a trademark dish that would sell by the thousands anywhere around the world, which is good thing because such has been Rüya’s success in Dubai that a new franchise has just opened in London.

Can’t make it down to this year’s Townhouse event? You’ll be able to follow along with all that and more via our social media channels.
