According to popular saying, “nothing in this world is certain, except death, taxes and exciting Dubai projects”.
Especially, as Dubai swiftly approaches Expo 2020. It seems like a new project is unveiled every other day, and this day is no exception.
Meet The Dubai Safari, the UAE’s first ever wildlife sanctuary; a project aimed to not just allow residents to live a unique edutainment experience, but which will also contribute to international efforts to preserve wildlife and animal welfare.
“It’s not just a park that will gather animals, it will be an international resort that will confirm Dubai’s keenness in providing projects that respond to the needs of the city,” says Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of the Dubai municipality.

With over 2,500 animals from 250 different species living in 119 hectares; the Dubai Safari aims to become one of the five best parks in the world within the next five years.
The park that is equipped to welcome over 10,000 visitors on a daily basis will be divided into four villages- African, Asian, Arabian and an open Safari village as well as a children farm.
Although the park was expected to open by the National day, it does not appear so. However, it should be opening by December. Khaled Sultan Hilal Al Suwaidi, director of Leisure Facilities Department at Dubai Municipality told Gulf News about the new delay: “Though we are ready for it, we will not be opening on the National Day. But it will definitely be in December”.
Dubai Safari park is located in Al Warqa-5. Ticket prices will range from AED 20 to AED 30 for children and AED 50 to AED 85 for adults, with children below three, adults above 60 and people of determination granted free entry.
