An ultra-luxe apartment sold for Dhs60 million

Why residents of Dubai will tell you that the rest of the world’s oft-skewed view the city is narrow-minded and stereotypical, there is the odd occasion when the city does play up to the lavish side of its reputation. That’s right, one new homeowner has just handed over a cool Dhs60 million to be the proud owner of a yet-to-be-built apartment located on an reclaimed island, off the coast of the city.

Naturally, that apartment is no run-of-the-mill property. Spanning the top floor of the upcoming Bulgari Resorts and Residence property on Jumeira Bay, the 14,000sqft space is said to boast 270-degree views over Downtown Dubai and the rest of the Dubai coastline.

The new owner will be able to enjoy complimentary membership to the world’s first Bulgari Marina and Yacht Club, as well as a 24-hour concierge, pools and fitness facilities, lush gardens, and six high-end restaurants.
