Bang & Olufsen has upgraded its Beolit 17 speaker, giving the square-shaped audio device a makeover.
The new Beolit 20 comes with “45 per cent air transparency” which supposedly makes for a crisper, cleaer and more refined sound. That, combined with B&O’s ‘True360’ technology should be able to fill a room no matter where you place it.
Inside the redefined case you get a 5.5-inch wideband woofer, three 1.5-inch full range speakers and two 4-inch bass radiators. All that gives the Beolit 20 plenty of quality sound. You can also pair the new model with old ones, to create a surround-sound experience in your phone.
Bang & Olufsen upgraded the speaker’s battery life, giving it an extra 30 per cent. It also added QI wireless charging up top, which lets you charge your phone using thespeaker.
Right now there are two launch coloursm Grey Mist and Black Antyhracite. Both come with a vegetable tan leather strap.
The speaker is out today, and costs US$500.
