Both watches represent the brand’s incredible engineering

Grand Seiko –the Japanese watchmaker’s fine watchmaking arm – is about to have two big anniversaries.

In the case of the Hattori watch, it is crafted from platinum 950 that has been specially polished for a distortion free finish. The dial comes with 14k gold indexes behind a sapphire crystal. The 140th year anniversary is also beautiful, and is modelled off the first Grand Seiko watch from 1960. It measures 38mm across, and comes in an 18K rose gold case with rose gold indices.

Both watches are available in January 2021, and will be available exclusively at Grand Seiko boutiques.

The Hattori 160th Anniversary Limited Edition is limited to just 50, and will cost US$103,000. The Seiko 14th
