It comes with Black detailing and larger 32-inch tires and better off-road capabilities

One of America’s most iconic off-road motors – the Willys Jeep – served as inspiration for a new limited edition version of the 2021 Jeep Gladiator.

The original Willys Jeep was manufactured in 1941 by the United States Military, and used extensively throughout World War II. Over the course of the war, 360,000 were produced (another 300,000 would be produced post-War), and thanks to its popularity and inclusion in just about every World War II flick, has gone on to receive iconic status in the world of motoring.

The new Jeep Gladiator Willys Edition is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine, which boasts 285 horsepower and 260lb-ft of torque. It comes with a six-speed manual transmission as standard.

You aso get 32-inch BFGoodrich KM2 mud terrain tires, a new limited-slip differential, along with rock rails and shocks that come from the Jeep Rubicon.

New details – such as a blacked-out grille with matching rims, and other elements such as the ‘Willys’ decals, make the gladiator standout from the bog-standard model.

The head of Jeep Brand in North America, admitted that the, “Gladiator Willys models harken back to the original Jeep lineup while offering an aggressive look and additional increased capability.”

That means that the Willys Edition is essentially a limited edition Gladiator Sport S. There are a host of optional extras, including an upgraded Uconnet system, adaptive cruise control, heated seats and steering wheel and a new tow package.

The new Jeep Gladiator Willys Edition starts at around AED145,000. It will arrive early next year.
