Expect exclusive membership skins and extra in-game currency

Fortnite will be getting a monthly subscription service (because seriously, everything seems to be going subscription these days).

The announcement was made late last week via PlayStation. The membership service will be called ‘Fortnite Crew’ and players will get complementary Battle Passes, alongside 1,000 V-Bucks and in-game cosmetics.

“An exclusive bundle of a new outfit plus at least one new matching accessory (like a Glider, Pickaxe, or Emote),” will be offered, says the announcement.

Players will be able to hold on to the items they receive over the course of the subscription, even if they decide to cancel it. The first outfit that Fortnite will roll out is Galaxia, which is a space-theemd avatar that comes with back bling and a pickaxe.

There will be new outfits each and every month, along with that digital currency which should let you pickup new emotes and outfits between the month.

Fortnite Crew will launch on December 2 – in time for the arrival of Chapter2, Season 5. It will cost US$12 per month.
