Developer Ubisoft has announced it will be partnering up with Netflix, to bring its highly-popular Assassin’s Creed videogame series to your television.
The multi-project deal will first bring a live-action adaptation of the videogame to the streaming platform. While there is no information on who will star in the series, it is known that Ubisoft’s Jason Altman and Danielle Kreinik have signed on to executive produce the series.
Besides the streaming series, there are also other projects in the works including an animated series.
“For more than 10 years, millions of fans around the world have helped shape the Assassin’s Creed brand into an iconic franchise,” said Jason Altman, head of Ubisoft Film & Television in Los Angeles.
“We’re thrilled to create an Assassin’s Creed series with Netflix, and we look forward to developing the next saga in the Assassin’s Creed universe.”
At the moment little is known about the new show, and fans who want to catch up with the next chapter of the Assassin’s saga will have to download the new game, Valhalla, when it launches later this month.
