There’s another reason to visit our Northernmost Emirate.
The Ritz-Carlton has opened the doors to a brand new desert oasis. Located in the heart of the Al Wadi Nature Reserve, the resort has all the hallmarks of luxury, combined with a healthy dose of environmental protection.
The new resort is located inside the Northern Emirate’s 500-hectare wildlife reserve and boasts 101 renovated luxury villas – all with private pools.
Each bespoke villa was custom designed by renowned architect and interior designer, Kristina Zanic, who took a keen interest in Arabic details. The hotel received a new lobby, as well as fully revamped restaurants.
Today, the Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert includes signature Farmhouse, which offers a menu inspired by local produce (including home-grown vegetables) alongside breath-taking views of the desert beyond.
Kaheela, which hosts all-day dining, serves both international and Levantine cuisine. Then there’s also the Lobby Lounge, which serves snacks and the hotel’s signature Afternoon Tea.
When not lounging in your very own private pool, guests can enjoy a personal itinerary provided by the hotel’s Experience Concierge service. As you might expect, the program highlights the essence of desert life and Bedouin culture; with falconry, equestrian and camel rides, nature and environment activities, as well as Ritz Kids, a program for kids.
In line with the theme of keeping the local tradition alive, The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert also hosts the first Ritz-Carlton Equestrian and Adventure Centre for guests to experience the natural desert landscape on an organized horse trek through 500 hectares of unspoilt nature.
The opening of The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert will shortly be followed by the official launch of The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Hamra Beach in December.
