A private member’s club with a Peruvian twist; Coya’s new and improved private club is something else entirely

We’ve long found it strange that none of the world-famous members’ clubs have opened a branch in Dubai.

Even if the rumours continue that Soho House may be on the way, it will have a tough time knocking Coya Dubai’s newly reopened Member’s Club off its perch.

The restaurant’s refurbished private members’ club consists of a drawing room, bar and a private garden terrace, where you can retire for drinks before or after dinner.

The bar stays open late every evening, and members will also have private lockers to store that special bottle of drink, allowing them to take their time working through that 18-year old bottle or whatever else you’re hiding from visitors at home.

There’s a dedicated mobile number for bookings, masterclasses and priority for the main restaurant, along with weekly programmes of live Latin American music, art and cigars. And perhaps best of all, you have access to Coya Members’ Club worldwide, so you’d have a home-from-home at the branch in London’s Mayfair.

Naturally, you can sign in (up to three) guests, and – let’s be honest – being able to say, “Let’s get out of here and go for a drink at my club,” has a certain cachet to it.
