Someone please help. It’s been three hours

We finally have a first look at Ridley Scott’s upcoming film House of Gucci, and my gosh, it’s a doozy.

Lady Gaga posted the first official look at herself and co-star Adam Driver in the film based on the Sara Gay Forden book of the same name. The two play Patrizia Reggiani and Maurizio Gucci.

I can’t stop looking at it. Seriously, I can’t. Is it cool? Is it kitsch? Is there any discernable difference any longer in the world of high fashion?

Most importantly, will I be able to find any of these items at any vintage markets near me?

The two are adorned in Gucci fashion of the era, Driver in a cream-coulred cable-knit aran turtleneck sweater, Gaga in a black turtleneck and fur hat.

The film has been primarily shot in Italy, with the Italian alps visible in the background of the first released shot.

If that wasn’t enough, paparazzi photos from the set have also been appearing online.

The story follows Reggiani and Gucci’s marriage in the 1970s, his murder in the 1980s, and her trial for organizing his assassination in the 1990s. Reggiani convicted in 1995, serving 18 years in jail before seeing release in 2016.

The two stars are flanked by some supremely talented and tenured talent in the film’s ensemble cast, including Al Pacino who is playing Aldo Gucci, Jared Leto as Paolo Gucci, Jeremy Irons as Rodolfo Gucci, and Camilla Cotting playing Paola Franchi.

Scott’s last film was 2017’s All the Money in the World, which followed a similar theme, with a high-profile family who are embroiled in a plot of kidnapping and murder. The film is most famous for being the film that Kevin Spacey was cut out of and replaced with Christopher Plummer after it was already completed due to allegations against Spacey.

The film is set for an October release, with Scott’s other project, The Last Duel, which reteams Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, coming in November.

For Gaga, it is the follow up to her Oscar-nominated performance in A Star is Born, which also birthed one of the biggest hits of her career in Shallow, a duet with co-star Bradley Cooper.

Driver was nominated for Best Actor at the Academy Awards just a year ago for Noah Baumbach’s latest film Marriage Story. Driver is also in Baumbach’s nxt film, White Noise, along with Little Women director Greta Gerwig, which is set to begin production in the second half of 2021.
