Heilee Steinfeld – from ‘Bumblebee’ movie fame – will be joining Jeremy Renner in Disney+’s Hawkeye series spin-off.
Renner will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Clint Barton – aka Hawkeye – who will become a mentor for Steinfeld’s Bishop. If the show follows the comics, Barton will then hand Steinfeld his mantle.
The Confuring’s Vera Farmiga is reportedly involved to play Bishop’s mother, as well as Florence Pugh who will play Yelena Belova from the currently-delayed Black Widow film.
There is little else known about the new series, including a release date. And considering it plays a role in the entire MCU (hence the inclusion of Belova) then it’s thought to be released after Scarlett Johansson’s Widow film (currently slated for cinemas in April).
