According to television insiders, HBO is developing a six-part series about Elon Musk.
The series will pick up after Musk sold his stake in Paypal, has just become Tesla CEO and looks to found SpaceX.
The show will be adapted from Ashlee Cance’s popular biography of the billionaire, however Musk will not be directly involved with the project.
As the story will take place at the beginning of the space exploration company’s founding, the show will follow Musk’s recruitment of a small engineering team, and the development and testing of its first SpaceX rocket.
The show will be produced by Channing Tatum’s production company, as well as Doug Jung (who previously produced Star Trek Beyond). Jung is also down to pen the adaptation for the script.
The new series will be one of the first times that Elon Musk will be see on screen, prompting rumours as to which actor will end up playing him.
