Fantastic Four fans are pushing for the Good News anchor to take the role

The internet has been abuzz this week, as rumours that John Krasinski has been picked to head the Fantastic Four reboot, as Reed Richards.

Marvel’s Reed Richards has been trending this weekend following the rumours after it was revealed that the actor met with Marvel Studios for the role.

Ever since Disney took over Fox, comic book fans have been eagerly waiting to see how the Marvel Universe would integrate both the X-Men and the Fantastic Four.

Under Fox, the X-Men franchise saw lots of commercial success (and a few flops) but its Fantastic Four movies never really took off. The most recent reboot, Fant4stic performed particularly badly.

Now that everything is under one roof, it really is only a matter of time before both the X-Men and Fantastic Four are integrated into the wider MCU.

As recently as 2019’s San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige confirmed that a Fantastic Four reboot was in development, so it would make sense for them to be looking at casting characters.

For his part, Krasinski has been enthusiastic about the role, but he also said that Feige should be trusted to pick the best actor for the role (whether it’s him, or otherwise).
