We speculate on what could be Marvel’s best partnership

There’s rumours a Spider-Man, Deadpool and Wolverine movie is in the works. Here’s how we think that would go down:

Considering Avengers: Endgame is the most profitable film of all time and one of the most popular, it’s obvious it wasn’t just marvel fans packing themselves into cinemas to see it.

Evidently, the more superhero-clad stars you can fit in a movie, the better it does at the box office. Which has lent credence to a rumour that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, Ryan Reynolds‘ Deadpool and a yet-unamed actor’s Wolverine might all appear in the same film.

There’s precedence to it – all three have hung out together in the comics previously. And whole the comics aren’t used word-for-word to create new Marvel Studios scripts, they are certainly used for inspiration.

Originally, while Sony held the rights to Spidey he couldn’t appear in any Marvel Studios films. However now that an agreement has been made, Tom Holland is free to run swing-about in as many Marvel films and they need him to be.

Same goes with the X-Men, which Sony also had the rights to until it opened up last year. That would also bring characters like Wolverine and Deadpool within the cinematic universe.

So, the question is: how exactly would a Tom Holland, Ryan Reynolds and mystery Wolverine actor film work?

While Spider-Man is a young, optimistic, teen superhero, both Wolverine and Deadpool are essentially anti-heroes. Both of them have a opposite personality to Spidey, so it’s likely to be very banter-heavy.

Previously, comis put both Spider-Man and Wolverine, and Spider-Man and Deadpool on the same pages. Generally, the two would go about dealing with baddies with slight disdain for one another. So expect more of that, here.
