And Adele might be along for the ride as well

We’ve all said things we haven’t meant before, right? Which is why I think we can all forgive Daniel Craig for saying he’d rather slash his wrists than do another Bond movie. Especially considering how recent rumours seem to be suggesting that Craig has had a change of heart and is set to sign on for his fifth outing as the iconic spy.

Although one could argue that a fifth film starring Craig might be a bit overkill, we do have to remember that Craig’s third jaunt in Skyfall grossed over a $1 billion at the international box office and remains to this day the most successful film in the Bond franchise. That being said, the follow up film, 2015’s Spectre, only managed to draw $880 million at the box office. The fact that we’ve had to say “only” $880 million is exactly why Sony wants to keep Craig onboard and isn’t too bothered about what you think.

According to industry insiders, Bond magnate and producer Barbara Broccoli has already managed to coerce the actor into donning his tux once again; however, “rumour has it” (see what we did there?) that Broccoli also has her sights set on securing the vocal talents of Adele for the film’s opening theme. Whilst her recent medical issues have meant that the Adele has had to cancel her final two tour dates at Wembley Stadium, we’re sure that a large enough sum of money will be enough to get the Tottenham-born songstress in tune with Broccoli’s vision.

Regardless of whether Craig and Adele are involved or not, Bond 25, the (surprise, surprise) 25th movie in the James Bond franchise, is still slated for release in October 2018.
