The latest from the K-pop sensation is currently waging war against Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘good 4 u’ on the global charts

In the two weeks since BTS, the global K-pop sensation, has dropped their latest single ‘Butter’, it has dominated the trending charts, racking up nearly 400 million views between the original and the ‘Hotter Remix’, and nearly 200 million streams on Spotify globally.

Now the BTS Army is trying to push the song ‘high like the moon’.

#ButterDay has been trending across the world on Wednesday as fans host live streaming sessions in order to drive up Butter’s numbers. It’s currently trending #1 in the world on Twitter.

They’ve had success at this before. BTS’s hit Dynamite is currently at around 918 million streams on Spotify, and 1.1 billion on YouTube.

This time, they’re hosting live streaming sessions on Stationhead, a social radio platform, and engaging tens of thousands across the world, who are live commenting along to try to drive their favorite group up the charts and make sure that “Butter” is the official song of summer 2021.

“Butter” is currently number one on the Billboard Hot 100 the second week, but on Spotify globally the song is currently ranked number 3, behind Olivia Rodrigo’s “good 4 u” and Rauw Alejandro’s “Todo De Ti”.

“good 4 u” is currently behind BTS on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, hanging on at number two.

BTS has been dominated tastebuds as well this month, currently taking over global food chain McDonald’s with the BTS Meal.

We tried the BTS Meal and actually liked it quite a bit, highlighting the Cajun Sauce as a particularly enticing addition to the classic Chicken McNugget.
