Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix confirmed for 13 December
The Formula 1 in Abu Dhabi has been confirmed for Sunday the 13th of December.
The final chapter in what has been a tumultuous Formula 1 season will take place two weeks later than expected due to the coronavirus pandemic. It will be closed to spectators.
Yas Island will host the teams in a safe zone, which is being dubbed the ‘F1 biosphere’. That will make the island in Abu Dhabi one of the largest safe zones in the region.
The UAE has said it is planning precautionary health measures on Yas Island, and will prioritize the wellbeing of the F1 community on the final race of the season.
Formula 1’s biggest stars will be in attendance, including Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, Max Verstappen and Valtteri Bottas. Hamilton will be aiming to take his third consecutive Abu Dhabi win (and his sixth overall).
The Formula 1 Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi will conclude a season that started in Austria in July.
