Matthew McConaughey has designed an eco-cabin in the Australian wilderness, that you can rent.
Called ‘The Reserve’ the cabin is a collaboration with Unyoked, which specialises in off-the-grid wilderness retreats across Australia.
According to Unyoked – the ‘Adventure Level’ of this cabin is ‘Spicy’.
Located in New South Wales, the aim of the project is to “get more Aussies out in the wild”.
The mobile cabin is powered by solar energy and comes along with a gas stove, bar, fridge, and an outdoor pit fire.
It sleeps two people in a bedroom with views over the wilderness, and costs around US$200 (AED730) per night (with a minimum two-night stay). Bookings begin in December.
The cabin also comes with a series of casette tapes, with playlists chosen by McConaughey.
All proceeds go towards the Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife Australia.
You can check out the cabin on the Unyoked website, where it provides the description:
“While designed like all our family to help you get nice and unyoked, this one’s a bit special. We handcrafted The Reserve with Wild Turkey’s Creative Director Matthew McConaughey.”
“Over some banter, and just a bit of bourbon, we found out we’re sharing the same vibes, we’re all on a mission to help people disconnect and get back in touch with the benefits of the wild.”
