Unless you’ve been living under an Elephant Rock, you’ve probably heard about Saudi Arabia’s impressive new tourist offerings. This new hot spot has also caught the attention of almost 30,000 visitors in just 10 days.
According to reports, around 24,000 foreigners visited the Kingdom since the new tourist visa system rolled out on September 27. Visitors can now apply for an e-visa on visitsaudi.com or simply get a tourist visa on arrival.
The Kingdom has rolled out an impressive marketing campaign labelled “Where in the World?” – showcasing the varied landscape of Saudi and likening its offering to countries like Maldives, Caribbean, Italy, and Jordan.
Couple this with the Kingdom relaxing a selection if its conservative laws, particularly those towards women, and companionship, and the Kingdom is becoming a seriously appealing holiday spot. This is a revelation shared by flocks of people already heading to Saudi to explore the previously unknown country.
Visitors from China already have clocked in at 7,391, followed by citizens of the UK and the US with 6,159 and 2,132 respectively, according to figures released by the Saudi Foreign Ministry.
The top list also features visitors from Canada, Malaysia, France, Germany, Russia, Australia and Kazakhstan.
