Jeff Bezos under fire for 'buying' new $400 million dollar mega yacht
UPDATE: An official spokesperson for Amazon has confirmed that the yacht does not belong to Jeff Bezos.
Jeff Bezos is in hot water with Amazon employees on Twitter right now. Fresh off his multi-million dollar divorce, Bezos is reportedly said to have bought a US $400 million dollar yacht and it was spotted by eagle eye Twitter users, off the coast of Turkey.
According to A News, the 136-meter-long vessel was built by shipping company Lürssen in 2019. The luxury boat comes with a swimming pool, 11 cabins, a cinema, two helipads, and a two-deck spa that includes a gym, sauna, and massage area.
The new yacht has struck up a debate on Twitter over the haves and the have-nots. And despite reportedly not owning the yacht, Jeff Bezos has been drawn into the conversation on social media. He's still getting flack for it.

Make no mistake, he can easily afford this mega yacht because he pays his warehouse workers only $8-$12/hr.— Sherman Putterman (Bernie Sanders 2020 ) (@Sherman4713) August 4, 2019
But there are a few tweets that support the billionaire as well.
If @JeffBezos can afford a 400 million yacht it’s because of his hard work. You work hard and buy a 500 million USD yacht for yourself!! After (seeing Jeff’s yacht gone viral)— Naweed.Fruzi (@fruzi_naweed) August 4, 2019
According to Superyacht news, the 136.0m Flying Fox yacht was built in 2019 by Lürssen. She features an exterior design by Espen Oeino and an interior by Mark Berryman.
It can sleep up to 22 guests taken care of by a crew of 54.
But Amazon is denying the news that the yacht is owned by Jeff Bezos. Rumours over the yacht's ownership have circulated since it was under construction in 2017.
