In what’s already shaping up to be a wild summer of footwear, we bring you these MM6 Maison Margiela après ski boots. Tall, puffy, a bit like Herman Munster’s shoes from ’70s TV show, The Munsters, what’s not to like?

MM6 Maison Margiela was launched in 1997 as the Margiela diffusion range. Anonymously run, it focuses on unconventional cuts and style—but then there’s unconventional and then there’s this. Coming from the FW23 collection, you get a padded round toe, a thick, weighty looking rubber sole and some branding on the side. It also comes in a slipper, with a low cut lazy fit.

Sitting nicely on the Gorpcore spectrum, it’s just another example of how your outdoor wear is kinda hype right now. Gorpcore is an adaptation of technical outerwear as stone cold streetwear. Brands such as Hoka, Patagonia and North Face are having real moments right now, the latter enjoying a fabulous Gucci collab last year.

Now we have brands such as MM6 Maison Margiela creating the Gorpocore gear themselves, with these boots meant for evenings in the bar after a long day on the slopes. But whether yours see snow or not, we’re pretty sure that’ll cut quite a dash in them.
