Attention all photographers

Starting this weekend, the Gulf Photo Plus (GPP) Photo Week will inspire and challenge photographers from the region. As the first and longest running photography festival in the Gulf, it’s no surprise that Sony Middle East has decided to team up with GPP to present a series of inspirational talks, creative panels and photography sessions, throughout the week [February 10 to 17].

As part of Sony’s Photo Friday on the February 10, four photography sessions will take place, with a mixture of themes. Pushing the boundaries of travel photography, de-mystifying celebrity photography, new frontiers in photo essay and the power of Photoshop and Lightroom, there’s something for all of you camera snappers. The best part of Sony’s visit to GPP Photo Week? An address from Sony’s global ambassador Davide Monteleone on the February 12, entitled ‘A Personal Distance’, in which he will talk about his journey through the world of photography, how to win a Sony a6300 and how to make a career out of photojournalism. The man is a three time winner of the World Press Photo prize, he sure is worth a listen.

Don’t like listening? Seven different Sony snap sessions will also be held at GPP, where guests can lend a Sony a6300 and give it a run during workshops. The workshops will include themes such as, storytelling, visual arts, natural light portraits and fashion photography. Sony will also be displaying some of its finest products at the GPP Photo week, including the a6500 with an APS-C sized image sensor, a99 II and the Cyber-shot RX100 V.
