Handycam AX100E uses a newly-developed ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T lens

Sony has launched its latest 4K Handycam. The FDR-AX100E is approximately 75% smaller and 66% lighter than the previous FDR-AX1E, making it easy for one-handed use and portability.

The newest 4K Handycam AX100E from Sony is particularly ideal for people who wish to capture and enjoy their special memories on their 4K BRAVIA TV in the highest possible resolution.

The FDR-AX100E is also the first 4K Handycam that features the 1.0-type Exmor R CMOS sensor that is far larger than the sensor in normal consumer camcorders. Capturing flawless 4K Ultra HD images (3840 x 2160 pixels) with four times the detail of Full HD, the sensor also allows beautiful ‘bokeh’ background blur effects – even when shooting outdoors in sunny conditions.

The pairing of the 4K sensor with the powerful processor enables area-specific noise reduction and detail reproduction technology for incredibly vivid and lifelike footage. Together with the camcorder’s advanced Cinematone Gamma/Colour function, progressive 25p recording gives a rich look to your footage.

The Handycam AX100E uses a newly-developed ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T lens which works in harmony with the large 1.0-type sensor and the BIONZ X processor assuring flawless movies and still images. While shooting with the handheld, the Optical SteadyShot keeps footage smooth and stable for more polished results.

In another 4K Handycam first, Dual Video Recording lets you simultaneously record in both formats capturing movies in XAVC S or AVCHD formats to view, edit and enjoy with the highest resolution. At the same time, a more compact lower-resolution copy of your footage is recorded in MP4 format. After shooting, just touch your NFC-enabled smartphone or tablet to wirelessly transfer web-friendly MP4 clips from the AX100E for quick online sharing.

The new FDR-AX100E 4K camcorder is now available in UAE at all Jumbo outlets and select electronics retailers in the UAE.
