Leto will reprise his role as the Clown Prince of Crime in next year’s new film

Jared Leto has reportedly signed on to once again play the Joker in Zach Snyder’s new Justice League film.

The actor will bring his take on the Clown Prince of Crime from 2016’s Suicide Squad to the DC Extended Universe.

Justice League: The Snyder Cut will present Zach Snyder’s version of the superhero film to HBO’s streaming setup. Snyder was the original director and producer, but had to leave the production before it was completed.

DC Movies replaced Snyder with Joss Whedon, who attempted to ‘Avengers’ his way out of the film. Unfortunately, the movie was critically panned and hasn’t had the best reaction by the fans.

The Snyder Cut – which is due out early next year – will showcase the director’s original plan for the Justice League. It will involve entirely new scenes and new visual effects. The film will star the original cast (many who came in for reshoots) including Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot and Ray Fisher.

The cost of the new production is said to have cost US$70 million.

Justice League: The Snyder Cut will be out early next year. It will be broadcast on HBO Max as a four-part miniseries.
