Dubai Summer Surprises is set to host the ultimate football competition, both online and on the ground. The Oppo Gaming Challenge will take place at Mall of the Emirates from August 20 to 29.
Organized by ITP Gaming and Dubai Festival and Retail Establishment, the Oppo Gaming Challenge will let football fans compete to win Oppo mobile phones and 10,000 MAF share points.
Players will first test their virtual football skills on the PS4, followed by a one-on-one football match inside a specially built ‘cage’ pitch.
Gamers will also be able to interact with gaming influences, FIFA experts and some of Esquire’s biggest influencers, including Amr Nasouhy and Ahmed Nasheet.
“Over the past three years, gaming has become an integral part of DSS where families, and gaming enthusiasts come together to participate in fun and interactive events. This year we’ll see football fans compete at the OPPO Gaming Challenge at Mall of The Emirates over 10 days in a safe, fun and family friendly environment that strictly follows all of the important health and safety rules,” said Ahmed Alkhaja, CEO Dubai Festival and Retail Establishment (DFRE).
The OPPO Gaming Challenge is a great addition to the Back to School calendar of events on offer this DSS at Mall of The Emirates and is a wonderful opportunity for youngsters to meet up with friends and fellow gamers to test their online and real-life football skills before the long summer holidays come to an end.”
The 23rd edition of Dubai Summer Surprises (9 July – 29 August 2020) is part of Dubai’s annual Retail Calendar that features major retail-based festivals, mega sales and exclusive retail experiences and attractions.
