Panerai is continuing to celebrate the 70th anniversary of its glow-in-the-dark Luminor watch with a new collaboration with explorer and long-time ambassador Mike Horn.
Panerai has unveiled a new model in the Submersible EcoPangaea Tourbillon GMT. The new watch is limited to just five pieces, but you’ll only be able to get your hands on one if you take a once-in-a-lifetime expedition to the Arctic with Horn himself.
The new watch’s 50mm case is made from rectcled high-tech steel (recycled from the drive shaft of Horn’s own sailing ship).
It features a hand-would calibre P.2005/T, along with a skeletonized titanium movement, light blue details on the dial and a unidirectional EcoTitanium bezel.
It also comes with water resistance up to 300-metres, a natural rubebrs trap, brushed steel buckle and a sapphire glass caseback with an engraved sailboat on the back.
The new Submersible is available only from Panerai boutiques for US$189,000. We imagine quite a bit of that price includes plane tickets to the arctic circle.
