New Astronomia Fleurs de Jardin is a striking mix of jewels and sapphire crystal

Jacob & Co. has unveiled another jaw-dropping timepiece – the Astronomia Fleurs de Jardin.

Previously, it worked with Bugatti to create a menacing-looking Chiron Tourbillon using a 16-cylinder engine. Today, it’s changed tact with a new tourbillon in a striking rainbow colour palette.

“Long seen as a beacon of hope at the end of a storm, rainbows have prevailed throughout history as the universal symbol for optimism,” Jacob & Co. said about the launch via press release.

The watch is designed to ‘create a garden on the wrist,’ and features mutlicoloured sapphire flowres around the Tourbillon, a time display, and an upper level which all revolvea round the dial in clockwise formation.

The watch has two 18k rose gold rings set with yet more rainbow sapphires. The dial comes finished with a 288-facet Jacob-cut grass-green tsavorite stone at the centre.

Only 101 units will be made, and while price is still yet to be announced (it’s very much one of those ‘if you have to ask, you can’t afford it’ type pieces).
