G-Shock is paying homage to NASA with a new DW-5600 watch that looks like something out of the film Aliens.
The special edition comes with its own unique packaging, featuring motifs that honour the American space institution. The launch comes along with a brief video, entitled “All systems go.”
Retaining the tieless DW-5600 boxy silhouette, the G-Shock has an all white rubber case and a strap that was inspired by spacesuits.
The usual grey face and classic LED display has been upgraded with a special moon-shaped backlight. NASA’s famous logo appears above the screen, while the American flag is printed on the band loop as well as ‘National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

To compete the aesthetic, the watch tin has been modelled to look similar to a jettisoned fuel container.
The new NASA DW-5600 is available via G-Shick’s website, and via select retailers.
