Even Batman would be jealous if he saw you rocking any of these on your wrist

It’s no secret that basically anything looks cooler in black. Just look at all those supercars getting wrapped in matte black and suddenly looking 10x more awesome.

This is a formula that can often work with watches too. We’re looking at the coolest all-black watches at every budget.

Larsson & Jennings LJXII Norse Leather 40mm Black

Price: AED 625 (aprox.)

A watch that any man could add to his collection, this super clean LJ watch is a classic dress watch in a square style.

The satin black style dial stands as the signature choice for the collection and it’s clear to see why. The understated Scandi-style dial is all black, with the indices, hands and date window all taking a shade Batman himself would choose.

Thanks to the quartz movement inside, this is both an affordable and reliable choice for any gentleman looking for an all-black piece.

Christopher Ward C60 Trident Chronograph 300 Black

Price: AED 2,075 (aprox.)

A completely different style from the Larsson piece but still one rocking the cool black look.

The chronograph has a satin black bezel, along with a deep black dial, and matching blacked out subdials. Inherently, black may make legibility harder on a watch, so having the contrasted white hands and indices is a welcomed choice.

It also rocks some red in there to make this watch extra cool. Like the previous, thanks to the quartz movement, this is a more affordable chronograph.

Tag Heuer Carrera Quartz Black

Price: AED 7,530 (aprox.)

A brand like Heuer is usually stewing in racing heritage, with that comes dials full of bold colours, namely bright red and blue in Tag’s case.

Here though it ditches all that, making a Darth Vader-approved all black piece.

Ditching even the red and green logo, the piece is made totally in the grey / black colour scheme, Tag went as far to put black lume on the watch, however counterproductive that may sound, it looks awesome.

Tudor Fastrider Black Shield

Price: AED 13,675 (aprox.)

The little brother of Rolex, the place where Rolex lets its hair down, Tudor. As the name suggests, this is one of Tudor’s blackest timepieces, unsurprisingly one of the coolest too.

Unlike previous mentions on the list, this watch uses black ceramic for its casing rather than coated steel. This makes the piece even more satin/matte.
This is also the first on the list to boast a self-winding movement rather than a quartz, a fact that proper watch collectors will often enjoy.

Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Dark Side of The Moon Black Black

Price: AED 44,250 (aprox.)

No, that’s not a typo, this watch has black in its name twice just to really get the message across.

Confusingly, this piece is darker than the ‘Pitch Black variant’.

Like the Tudor, this watch is made from black ceramic, it stands as the darkest watch on the list. Being made entirely in house, even the date window changed to fit with the super shadowy vibe.

Ressence Type 1ZZ

Price: AED 76,675 (aprox.)

Certainly the most unique watch on the list, unlike other pieces, Ressence watches move the dial itself to tell the time, not the hands.

This is actually the brand’s latest model, a 1 of 20 limited piece rocking the murdered out look.

Unlike some other watches on the list, it doesn’t improve legibility of such a dark dial with clever depth, it just has stellar engraving that make all the different functions easy to spot.

Ulysse Nardin Freak X 2303-270.1/Black

Price: AED 78,235 (aprox.)

The entry model into Ulysse Nardin’s fittingly named ‘Freak’ collection.

This is a watch uninterrupted by hours and minutes hands (yes, those things can annoy some watch collectors), instead, the exposed mechanics of the watch itself act as the hands to show the time. The central bridge itself acts as a minutes hand and one of the wheels indicates hours.

This watch uses a few different textures on its black, including brushed, satin and polished, giving the watch a bit more complexity on closer inspection.

Monsieur de Chanel Edition Noire

Price: AED 96,860 (aprox.)

Back to ceramic once more, Chanel really turned heads when it announced its all-black addition to the Monsieur line up.

The Monsieur collection stood as the first time Chanel delved into the world of making its own movements, namely the ‘Caliber 1’.

This watch is proof that Chanel is a proper name in the watch world, not just a fashion brand like Gucci for example. You can read more on this topic here

Richard Mille RM 030 Black Out

Price: AED 353,915 (aprox.)

Any surprise that an RM is the top of the list in terms of price point?

This particular model adds another layer of exclusivity to an already elusive brand. Having only ever made 30 of this watch in the Black Out scheme.
It has a black coated titanium case, along with a crown, bezel and strap that also sport the cool shade.

Tudor Black Bay Ceramic One (Honorary mention)

Price: Unknown

A second Tudor has made it onto the list, but there’s good reason for it.

This watch stands as the most exclusive on the list, with only one being made. It is a watch made for a special charity auction where many of the world’s top brands come together to make one off pieces.

This particular Tudor is similar to the Omega on this list, it’s entirely ceramic and entirely blacked-out. Seen as it’s an auction, the price of this watch is up in the air. It has an estimate of around AED 20,000 but trust us when we say it will go for a lot more.
