When either Rolex or Dubai want to make a statement, then they go big. How big? Well, how about opening the world’s largest Rolex boutique at the world’s biggest indoor shopping mall, The Dubai Mall.
Launched in partnership with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons – the Middle East’s leading retailer of luxury watches and jewellery – the impressive, new boutique marks a near sixty-year relationship of Rolex in Dubai.
Located in the new Fashion Avenue extension, the world’s most famous watch brand has officially opened an unprecedented 850sqm retail space that spans over three floors – including an area called the “Rolex Experience” that is dedicated to a total immersion into the world of the Swiss watch brand.
The ultra-luxe store was custom designed by the same team that puts together Rolex watches back in Geneva. In fact, the outside façade is made to look like the iconic fluted bezel that Rolex is known for.
The centrepiece of the boutique is the spectacular chandelier that incorporates hand-made glass discs that are inspired by the famed ‘cyclops lens’ found on Rolex watches.
The second floor of the boutique houses Rolex’s most precious watches, and is only accessible via an elevator (and an invitation). The walls feature leather trim and gold-leaf detailing, inspired by the cut of a diamond, or Rolex crowns made of gold watch indexes.
The third floor is the boutique’s showpiece hosting an exclusive Rolex Lounge, Cinema Room and Museum exhibit. Dubbed the “The Rolex Experience” it offers an immersive look into all the facets of the brand.
