When Turkish and German fashion join hands, magic happens. Or so we found out, only a few hours ago. The latest renegade collaboration between Hugo and Les Benjamins is perhaps one we never saw coming, but one that we now can’t turn away from.

Unlike Hugo’s history, which has long been a staple of sartorial excellence, continuously refining and redefining the male silhouette, Les Benjamins has been busy stirring up a ruckus with punk rock inspired collections that seem more fitting in a post-fashion-week-party mosh pit head banging to punk music.

And somehow, these conflicting forces of the thread have now met in the middle, resulting in a cataclysmic selection of attire, pieces that are office ready, street ready, and party ready.

“This collaboration with Hugo pays homage to my Gastarbeiter grandparents, whose journey from Turkey to Germany in the 1960s shaped my identity, and whose courage formed who I am today. Being at peace with my identity as a proud German-Turk without having to choose one side is incredibly fulfilling, and I hope this capsule will inspire others to embrace their duality and be true to themselves,” says Bünyamin Aydin, founder of Les Benjamins. “I have really enjoyed collaborating with Hugo and having the platform to express my untapped story as the first Turkish-German fashion designer. This will open many doors.”

Beauty is found in the unlikeliest of places, and this latest collaboration is a prime example of such discovery.

Hugo x Les Benjamins launched on July 11, 2024 in global Hugo stores, wholesale partners, and online at hugo.com.
