Everything’s Gucci down at the Burj Al Arab.

The brand has opened a pop up store at the renowned hotel in Dubai this month, which will remain open until February 28 of 2022.

Inside, the store will highlight different thematic set-ups throughout the season.

The store is the first of its kind in the region for Gucci, and is designed to bring the brand to the UAE at the time the country is having perhaps its biggest moment ever, with Expo Dubai 2020 as well as the country’s 50th National Day, or Golden Jubilee, happening now.

The store showcases a wide selection of pieces, including men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, small leather goods, fashion jewellery, silk, sunglasses, and accessories. This is all in addition to the recently launched Gucci Lifestyle and Gucci Décor collections.

If you head down there now, the store features the Gucci 100 collection that pays tribute to the centennial of the Maison.

“A century-long heritage prompts reflection on the staying power of the House and, through a contemporary lens, how profusely it contributed to the vocabulary of pop culture. A key theme within the Gucci 100 collection takes its cue from a number of songs that mention the brand. A selection of lyrics from these songs adorns ready-to-wear and accessories, at times together with the Gucci 100 logo, designed for the occasion, in a side-by-side tribute to past and present,” says Gucci about the collection.

The store is right in front of the newly opened SAL Restaurant, and at a height of 142 meters, the location provides a unique experience, allowing you to shop with some pretty amazing views.

The interior is understated, with a ‘surprising and unexpected’ combination of materials. The store is defined by a unique aquamarine colour, inspired by the crystalline water surrounding the space.

The colour adorns both walls and ceilings providing a dreamy frame to the wooden floors, hand-painted with a unique floral pattern mimicking an archival Gucci silk piece. The furniture in-store and surrounding the façade echoes the resort-like feel of the location with wicker and rattan seating areas animated with Gucci Décor and tropical plants.
