2025 is shaping up to be the year of luxury milestones, and Fendi is joining the club, in a big way. To celebrate 100 years since her grandparents founded the house in 1925, Silvia Venturini Fendi spins a tale of paradoxes — rigour and whimsy, past and future.
The Fall/Winter 2025-2026 collection, unveiled in a reimagined Roman salon in Milan, is an ode to the house’s five generations. “Fendi reminds me of the future,” Silvia declares, eschewing dusty archives for the “personal memories – real or imagined” that define the brand’s essence.

The collection shifts between irony and sobriety in a way that is quintessentially Fendi. Silvia’s Rome emerges in dusky laurel greens, petrol blues, and terracotta sunsets. The menswear pieces embrace drama — deconstructed boiled wool coats, shearling stoles layered over jewel-toned knits and intarsia techniques that mimic mink and sable without using them. The famed leatherwork of the house’s ateliers also shines in reversible Selleria coats fashioned from deerskin and suede.

Embellishment is key in this collection; Chantilly lace over cashmere twinsets and crystal encrusted knitwear form an interesting dialogue of texture, blurring gender lines. Footwear and accessories are the cherry on top, straddling retro and futurist. A supple hobo in Cuio Romano leather and FF metal logo hardware accompanies a new release: the Fendi Lui, a soft-zipped duffel that is the perfect essential bag. FF ball chain necklaces designed by Delfina Delettrez Fendi are a shimmering addition to the men’s jewellery collection, and desert boots cut in wild shearling and soft lambskin become the closing stars.

A star-studded list of attendees joined in on the celebrations (including the likes of Matt Bomer and Luca Guadagnino), as Silvia’s twin grandsons Dardo and Tazio opened the show. Donned in replicas of the Lagerfeld ensemble their grandmother wore when she was their age, it was a poignant full-circle moment for Fendi.
100 years are fleeting when it comes to the scope of the house’s horizons; in Silvia’s vision for Fendi, the future is boundless.
