After the success of the Air Jordan 1 University Blue last month, AJ is back with a 4 in the same colorway. And we can also announce the UAE price and release date.
The Air Jordan 4 University Blue will be available on April 21 at 2:00 PM GST.
It’s priced at AED 979 in the country, available in full family sizing.
The AJ1 University Blue has been one of the biggest shoes of the year, selling out instantly in the UAE and across the world last month. The AJ4 should follow that trend.
The AJ4 takes after a player-exclusive make-up created for one of the brand’s leading institutions, combining premium material with a time-honoured coloor-scheme.
If the shoe doesn’t look familiar, that’s because this is an all-new rendition of the classic model and colour.
The shoe is made of genuine suede leather on the upper in full University Blue, with OG mesh netting on the quarter panel and tongue bottom. The style also incorporates a cement splatter print throughout, also used often on the AJ3. The classic Michael Jordan 23 is woven into the tag on the tongue.
The colour of course harkens back to MJ’s days at North Carolina, where he hit the game-winning shot that brought championship glory to his university, and first cemented him as a legend long before his days on an NBA court.
The Air Jordan 1 first debuted in 1985 when Jordan wore them on an NBA court, which technically broke league rules but captured fan’s imaginations like no sneaker ever had before, created modern shoe culture as we know it.
The AJ4 first debuted in 1989.
