Tommy Hilfiger has just unveiled the first images of its new collaboration with Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton.
The aptly-named Tommy x Lewis Spring 2020 collection is the fourth between the six-time champion and Hilfiger, and the focus is on sustainability and acceptance.
The general idea is that good style should be worn by everyone, despite gender, age, ethnicity and body type.
The new collection is a mish-mash of Tommy Hilfiger’s preppy menswear vibe and Hamilton’s streetwear style. This season, expect military cuts and colours, with more subdued hues than you’d expect from a spring collection. That said, there are loads of little pops of colour across the collection, including tracksuits, bomber and field jackets.
This will also mark the first time that more than 75 per cent of the collection features sustainable elements, such as the use of organic cotton. The collection is also meant to withsatnd lower-impact washes and recycled textiles on many of the styles, including things like denim.
The collection will be fully unveiled on February 16, 2020 at the Tate Modern in London. While the looks are going up and down the catwalks, punters will be able to shop the looks live from the brand’s website.
