Luke Evans has landed another big role, this time as the star of Versace’s new eyewear campaign.
The ex-Esquire Middle East cover star – who traded in the Welsh Valleys for the Hollywood Hills – was snapped up by the Italian fashion house to showcase its new eyewear campaign. Its series of images were shot by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

Evans is seen posing in a variety of glasses and sunglasses from the new collection, which ranges from classic aviator frames to contemporary silhouettes. Key details of the collection include the use of metal, open-frame construction and the addition of engraved Greek symbols.
“We met for the first time more or less a year ago at an event, and it was love at first sight,” Chief Creative Officer Donatella Versace.

“I was charmed not only by his looks but mostly by what he had to say. This is why when the time came to choose a man for the new Versace Eyewear campaign, I did not have any doubt that it had to be him.”
Evans revealed the campaign via Instagram to his 2-million followers. He admitted that he was “super excited” and added, “Thank you to my friend Donatella Versace for the experience!”
