Parisian fashion brand Sandro has been capturing this spirit since 1984 with simple silhouettes, muted colours and luxury fabrics. Menswear, in the form of Sandro Homme, didn’t arrive until 2008, ten years ago, when Artistic Director Ilan Chetrite (son of the brand’s founders) translated the brand’s ethos into a menswear line that would soon plaster the backs of stylish men the world over.
In keeping with its ten year anniversary, the brand fuses a sense of modernity with a vintage feel across the collection. For the SS18 range, the brand has used strong jazz references, with a seasonally relevant aesthetic that hints at a 50’s American youth culture. Playing with proportions and timeless cuts, the items display a refined casualness with fitted silhouettes but that never borders on the constrained.
