One of football’s greats, David Beckham, the iconic set piece taker made a name for himself world-wide across 21 years of success. Beside his remarkable long-range goals, David Beckham was known for his classic predators.
Twenty titles later, Adidas are ready to commemorate the legend with his own line of predators.
Cries for the return of the Adidas Predators have echoed around changing rooms since the iconic series was retired in 2015.
From the pressure of bending in a stoppage time free kick, to being tasked with reinventing one of football’s most loved boots, Beckham proves yet again that our trust was well placed.
The former midfielder played a central role in the design process, three shirt numbers synonymous with his career are on the heel of each of three shoes- 23 (Real Madrid & LA Galaxy) on the triple-white ‘Stadium’ boot, 32 (PSG & AC Milan) on the triple-black ‘Street’ shoes and the famous No.7 (England & Man United) on the triple-red ‘Cage’ shoes.
Beckham said: ‘When I look back on the best moments of my career, the one defining theme of them all is the adidas Predator”.
“It has always been there, helping me play my best when it mattered most. That’s why when adidas offered me the chance to design an updated version of the boot for on-pitch, in the cage and on the street, I absolutely jumped at the chance,” He added.
Individual moments of brilliance followed for club and country, moments that were chosen by Beckham are stitched into the collar of each of the three designs.
