The Ocean Master is set to return in the upcoming sequel

Patrick Wilson may have earned the title Ocean Master in Aquaman but now you can call him…Deadlift Master as he lifts over 400lbs in a recent workout video he shared on Instagram.

In the video, the actor performed a deadlift exercise and lifted an impressive 420lbs for five reps. He thanked his personal trainer Ayo Falae who he’s been working with since the first movie and rap artist Yelawolf for providing the workout tunes to pump him up.

“Thank you @oldmanayo for the past 3+ months of Orm training, plus all the prep for the first flick. A lot of sweat. A lot of @yelawolf. Here we go.”

The actor will reprise the role of the villain Orm Marius in the sequel Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom which will see critically acclaimed James Wan returning as Director. Jokingly, Wilson had said that the official movie title was Aquaman and The Lost King Orm, referring to the fact that his character was defeated by Jason Momoa’s Aquaman at the end of the first movie.

Looks to us that Orm is prepping for a trial by combat rematch with Aquaman for the throne of Atlantis and we’re sure fellow supervillain Black Manta played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is bound to rear his really big head at some point.

Now at the age of 48, Wilson shows no signs of slowing down. He had also gotten jacked when he was training for his role as the superhero Nite Owl in Zack Snyder’s Watchmen back in 2009.

Not much is known about the plot at the moment but director James Wan confirmed in an Instagram post that Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom has begun shooting while fans noticed the words “Necrus” were written on his film slate. The name of a mysterious underwater city.

Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom is expected to release in December 2022.
