Can’t wait? Order on Deliveroo starting today ahead of next year’s opening

Culinary expert Chef Izu Ani has shaken up Dubai’s fast food scene, aiming for the top of Dubai’s burger culture with the launch of Izu Burger.

What is Chef Izu aiming for here? With Izu Burger, Izu Ani is healthy but delicious burger that uses carefully selected high quality ingredients. Starting from today, you can choose between three mouth-watering burgers, a side of Izu Fries and his signature Passionfruit Cheesecake if you have room for dessert.

Ani has some serious pedigree, if you didn’t already know. He moved to Dubai in 2010, joining La Petite Maison, now called LPM Dubai, before moving to La Serre, launching consulting firm YSeventy7, and food concepts carine, The Lighthouse, Izu Brasserie & Bakery and Gaia, and virtual restaurant Kitch-In.

Explaining the idea that drove him to create Izu Burger, Chef Izu wrote a heartfelt desription on Instagram.

Chef Izu

”Everything in life has a cause and effect, it is the attention we pay and the work we put into something that makes it stand out from the rest. With Izu Burger, I wanted to make juicy, tasy burgers, with clean, conscious ingredients so that we can trust in what we are putting into our bodies. Yes, enjoy a dirty burger, but eat one made with pure intentions and carefully sources flavours. Make it a part of your lifestyle, without restrictions, and use the energy to fuel your next adventure.”

When it comes to beef, Izu Burger certainly has a lot of it, but only the best stuff. The menu features dishes such as the Potato Bun Burger which lets you choose between 150-day grain fed Canadian Beef or the juiciest meat from down under, the Australian Wagyu Beef. The burger is then topped with Emmental Swiss Cheese, drizzled in a signature sauce of either the Young & Punchy Tartar sauce or the Rich & Smokin’ BBQ sauce if you’re looking to turn up the heat.

If you opt for the Trio of Sliders, you’ll get three mini Canadian Beef Burgers that you can share with your friends and family or more than likely just yourself. The Izu Fries shouldn’t be overlooked either as the side dish covers thick wedges of potato in a spicy sauce and a dash of Parmigiano-Reggiano or mixed spices. However if you do add it to your order, you may be forced to share with your family and friends after all.

As for the dessert, Izu’s Passionfruit Cheesecake is one of Chef Izu’s specalities. It consists of a creamy but light slice of cake that is decorated with a layer of tropical Passionfruit.

Izu Burger plans to launch its first physical restaurants in Dubai and New York in early 2022 so in the meantime, you can try all three of the current burgers available to figure out your favourite.
