At the finals of the Euro 2020 on July 11, England will have reached the finals of a major men’s tournament for the first time since winning the World Cup back in 1966. They could even win the coveted Euro 2020 cup if the psychic parrot foresees it.
Someone made a Fish and Chips Pizza for England’s Euro 2020 Finals
A seven year old blue and gold Macaw parrot by the name of Eva has been predicting the winner of all the Euro matches so far. She predicted that Switzerland would beat France which they did. Then she foresaw that England would defeat Germany and then Ukraine and they beat both of them. Still not convinced on Eva’s psychic abilities? She even predicted that England would beat Denmark last night in the semi-finals and they did with an emotional 2-1 victory.
There’s method in the madness, in a sense.
How Eva’s powers work is that she is given special tests by her aviary keeper in her home of Wicksteed Park in Kettering, England. Two bowls of bird seed are placed in front of the competing team’s flags and whichever bowl she decides to eat from is who she thinks will win the match.

“Eva is known to be a very intelligent bird but we never realised she had a talent for predicting football results.” said Sophia Perkins who takes care of Eva and the other birds at the aviary.
This isn’t the first animal that has displayed ‘psychic’ abilities. During the 2018 World Cup, Rabio the octopus successfully predicted the results of Japans first three group matches. After being placed in a plastic pool, he would pick from one of three boxes representing a win, loss or draw for the Japan national team by tipping them over.

There’s also Achilles the cat who predicted that Italy would beat Turkey earlier in this year’s tournament and they did with a 3-0 victory. However, he has a history of making mistakes as he failed to pick the winner in 3 straight matches during the 2018 World Cup.
Eva the parrot on the other hand seems to have more powerful psychic abilities as she’s never made a wrong prediction throughout the tournament according to her trainer, so we’ll have to wait and see who she envisions winning the Euro 2020 when England face off against Italy this Sunday because more than likely, their fate will be predicted by Eva.
