Because you’re not actually going into work, are you?

We don’t know if you’ve heard the news, but a certain feisty Irishman is going to be fighting a certain flashy American on  August 27. It’s supposed to be a pretty big deal or something. Or at least that’s what we’ve been told.

We may have also have learned that an alarming number of your colleagues will be taking that day off work citing “a bit of a headache” or a “scratchy throat”. So, seeing as everyone appears to be planning on getting ill and having absolutely nothing to do on that day, here are five locations where you’ll be able to alleviate your illness with a bit of boxing and a Lemsip or two.

QD’s 2.0 at The Emirates Golf Club

QD's 2.0

The Emirates Golf Club will be staging a special Punch Brunch to celebrate one of the biggest boxing bouts of all time. The Money Fight between Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather takes on Conor ‘The Notorious’ McGregor will be shown live at QD’s 2.0 (Emirates Golf Club’s dedicated Summer Tent) with doors opening at 5.30am on Sunday 27th August. QD’s 2.0 is fully air-conditioned and has 15 widescreen TV screens, plus one giant TV monitor, so nobody will struggle to see the bout.

For just Dhs110, fight fans will be able to choose from a full real English breakfast buffet served from 6am with classic favourites, including sausages, bacon, grilled tomato, hash brown, beans, mushroom and a fried egg station. Alternatively, there will also be baps with bacon, sausage and egg, or a selection of cold cut meats and cheeses to fuel guests through the fight.  Tea, coffee and a choice of juices will also be included within the package but you can also upgrade to a package including house beverages for Dhs275.

If your entire office does seem to be coming down with something, there’s even a 20 percent discount for bookings of groups of 11-20 people.
