American Pop-artist Selena Gomez stole the internet’s attention today with a photograph along with an Instagram post with an unexpected caption during the promotion of her new film The Dead Don’t Die at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.
Selena Gomez is seen in several photographs with actor Bill Murray and jokingly captioned one “By the way, Bill Murray and I are getting married.”
Gomez’s caption started a viral rumour around the internet, no further comments have been made, however. Bill Murray, also a cast member of the new film, expresses his thoughts on the 26 year old singer, “She’s unusually bright. She’s kind and she’s natural. I’m always pleased to find some kind of pop icon who I really like.”
Though the caption itself was quite attention grabbing, what initially sparked curiosity was the touching moment both stars seemed to share; Murray whispered into Gomez’s ear.

While we are all very curious to know what was whispered in Gomez’s ear, 68-year-old Murray claims that he does not remember. “I don’t remember what I said,” quipped Murray, “I was trying to keep her at ease. I really like her. I mean, you still can’t tell me who the hell ‘Selena Gomez’ is—but Gomez… I really like,” he continued.
